Since 2005, Melanie O'Hara-Salyers has been entertaining and educating guests at Miss Melanie's Tearoom in Johnson City, Tennessee. She specialized in British style afternoon tea parties, lunch, "Kids in the Kitchen" cooking and etiquette classes and tea education workshops.
In 2020, Melanie packed the tea kettle and moved the family to Greene County, Tennessee where she and husband Keith, started Valleydale Farms where they grow all-natural elderberry and raise pasture fed Katahdin lambs. She also grows her own flowers, herbs and elderberry to create small batch tea blends. (ValleydaleFarms.com)
Melanie continues to offer her tea education workshops and etiquette classes by appointment. Her yummy fresh baked scones are available at The Uncommon Collective in The Greeneville Commons along with an assortment of specialty loose teas, jams & lemon curd, unique teabag collections, (Alice in Wonderland and Jane Austen giftsets), assorted tea mugs and tea party favors. She has created a space where you can select almost everything you need to create your own tea party to go!
