Marsala Chai Pumpkin Bread
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup canned pure pumpkin
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon each salt, nutmeg, ginger & cinnamon
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1/4 cup chai tea (make with 1 teaspoon chai tea leaves)

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup canned pure pumpkin
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon each salt, nutmeg, ginger & cinnamon
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1/4 cup chai tea (make with 1 teaspoon chai tea leaves)













  1. Pour boiling water over chai tea leaves and let steep for 4 minutes.
  2. Combine sugars, pumpkin, oil & eggs- beat until well blended.
  3. Sift flour, salt, soda and spices.
  4. Add to the pumpkin batter and mix well.
  5. Stir in raisins, nuts and chai tea.
  6. Spoon into well oiled 9X5 pan.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 65-75 minutes or until done. Turn on rack & cool.
